Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to go to a sleep physician first? Can't you just make me an appliance?
Going to a sleep physician is a necessity. Only a sleep physician can diagnose sleep disorders. There are many sleep disorders, one of which is obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). In order to treat your sleep disorder properly, you must first have the disorder properly diagnosed. The health implications can be serious if your sleep disorder is misdiagnosed or treated improperly.
Be very cautious if a dentist is willing to treat you for OSA without consultation with a physician!
Does this really Work?
Yes it does! The oral appliance moves the lower jaw forward. This moves the tongue and other stuctures forward, and keeps the airway open when your muscles in the throat relax while sleeping.
